About the Tutor

This page is in memory of my good friend who has sadly passed away. Ludovit Medzihradsky was born in Bardejov and has spent a lifetime painting his native town and the surrounding countryside. Several of his oil paintings are exhibited in galleries abroad.

He was a teacher of technical drawing at a college in Bardejov. At present he earns his living by giving private tuition in painting and selling his pictures.

More recently he has also been commissioned to paint commemorative pictures for public buildings and churches in and around Bardejov.

Locations and Media

Ludovit will guide you to picturesque views of the countryside in and around the forest village of Krize and the charming streets of the medieval town of Bardejov. He will teach you how to paint landscapes, still life or wild life according to your interests.

Workshops may also take place in hotel Bellevue in Bardejov. The hotel is on a hill overlooking the town and provides wonderful views of the surrounding countryside. It also provides good food, an indoor swimming pool, fitness centre, tennis courts, etc.

Ludovit paints mainly in oil and his drawings are mostly in pencil. His speciality are paintings and drawings in perspective.
Course Structure and Prices

The courses are structured to individual requirements and all levels of ability are welcome.

The tuition can be one-to-one or for up to four people. The duration is from two days up to two weeks.

The courses are from 10am-1pm and 2pm-5pm. In Bardejov there are ample opportunities to stop for lunch. In Krize one can return to the cottage or take sandwiches.
